he Elves of Cintra, Book Two in a new trilogy entitled Genesis of Shannara, was published on August 28, 2007 in the United States by Del Rey Books and in the United Kingdom a week later by Orbit Books. It is the continuation of the events in Armageddon's Children, where the Great Wars Allanon spoke about to Shea Ohmsford in The Sword of Shannara have decimated society and a few lone survivors gather together to save humanity from itself.

To promote The Elves of Cintra, Terry toured through the mid-Atlantic states in the US and then traveled across the Atlantic Ocean for a small tour in England.
