A New Terry Brooks Chat

Terry will be sitting down at a computer on Tuesday, December 8th at 7 pm EST / 4 pm PST to chat with this fans from around the globe. He will chat for at least an hour, although our last few chats have been closer to 1 1/2 hours.

We will be using Cover It Live. It is a great chat service that allows for a smooth moderated chat. Fans will be able to pose their question; the moderators will look at the questions and select the best ones. I will then select those that get through.

The chat will go live five minutes before the designated time. You will be able to enter the chat at that time in the portal gateway below and begin asking questions:

Terry will answer any and all questions you have so come prepared! Be sure to sign up for the chat reminder, as that might save some people from missing out on this fun opportunity!

As many of you know, Terry was gone for more than a month, off in the sands of Dubai and the Middle East to take part in a great new literary festival.

New Podcast Interview

About two weeks ago Terry took part in a podcast with Jeff Ayers at Author Magazine! Terry is more than halfway finished with Book Four in the Genesis of Shannara series, but he took some time out of his busy schedule to speak to Jeff about many different things.

October Ask Terry Updated

Terry has returned from a long trip to Spain where he spent most of his time dreaming up the storyline to the next Genesis of Shannara novel, set to come out in 2010. Now that he is home, he has caught up on his Ask Terry duties!

On a side note, Terry has put to bed the next Landover novel. It is now fully edited and tentatively titled. More on the title later! Terry has also started writing the next Genesis book and he hopes to have it finished by Summer 2009.

There are some great answers in there, and some insight into what Terry is planning for the forthcoming Landover novel.

Since Terry is not in the US and won't be until mid-March, the answers to February's questions won't be posted until late-March.

On a final note, Terry will be in New York City on April 19th for the NY Comic Con. He will be promoting Dark Wraith of Shannara, but he will also have two signings at the convention—one after the event, one at the Del Rey booth. Shawn Speakman, the infamous WebDruid, will also be in attendance, in case you'd like to say hello.

September Ask Terry

Now that Terry has returned from his two tours and his three week vacation in Japan, he is once again chained to his writing desk with several different project due dates looming.

To begin getting everything in line, he has answered your September questions on Ask Terry. He will also be answering your October questions shortly. Be sure to submit new questions for him to answer in early December.

Terry also is writing an article for Writer's Digest, as well as finishing the last four chapters in Book Three of the Genesis of Shannara trilogy. He hopes to be done with the latter by Thanksgiving and it is the longest book of the three in the trilogy.

And then he will start work on the sixth Landover novel in January.
